From The How To Wreck Your Business People
Your 12 Month Customer and SALES Planner
A turnover target is just a number until you know where it’s coming from.
Break your business into its key areas, calculate the sales you need, the customers required and the turnover each area must deliver.
Then turn those numbers into a clear 12-month sales, turnover and profit plan.
From “we want to grow” to “this is exactly how we’re going to do it.”
How To Build Your 12 Month Customer & Sales Planner
A turnover target is useless unless you know HOW you’re going to achieve it.
Start by breaking your business into up to seven areas, divisions or product ranges. Then start by selecting the month you want your planner to start from.
For each section, enter your average sale value and the number of sales you need each month. The planner does the rest, calculating your monthly and annual turnover targets.
You can also add the number of customers needed. Remember, customers and sales aren’t necessarily the same thing. One customer might give you ten, twenty or fifty sales during the year.
Finally, add your target net profit percentage and see what all that turnover should actually deliver to the bottom line.
This isn’t about guessing a bigger number for next year. It’s about working backwards and understanding exactly what needs to happen to achieve it.
Easy, isn't it? Now get started - and remember to save as you go, and download your PDF plan at the end.

Stop guessing what turnover you want. Break it down by business area, work out the average sale value and the number of sales you actually need, then turn that into a clear 12-month target.

SEE WHAT SOME NICE PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT my STUFF
I have been running my own business for over 10years now and I took away numerous nuggets that I will be implementing in my business.
Cost me £9.99 and 1 week of reading but I believe will add value of tens of thousands of pounds....actually scrap that..... some of the things in this book may just save MY business one day!
I cannot explain how refreshing I found this book. Often business books talk all about what you HAVE to do for a successful business - well this book flips that on its head. The author is so honest about ALL the mistakes made in his business that you cannot help but sit up and take notice. Lot's of humour and examples thrown in for good measure makes this a really readable book. Totally recommend to anyone on a business journey.
A business book that makes you smile and laugh out loud. Sound business advice delivered with honesty, humility and humour.
Stuart is refreshingly honest about the mistakes he made first time round and I think they are mistakes that any of us could/would make/are making. With this book Stuart gives us the opportunity to be "wiser" and learn from his experiences.
